Beetles do some good

It’s not often you hear good things about beetles in Colorado’s forests these days, but that’s just what is happening with regard to the tamarisk leaf beetle. Hundreds of thousands of the insects released are eating away at the leaves of invasive tamarisk plants, which soak up an estimated 170,00 acre-feet of water annually in Colorado, the Denver Post reported.
