Corps considers Fountain Creek dam

The Army Corps of Engineers is reconsidering building a dam on Fountain Creek to control flooding, the Colorado Springs Gazette  reported. The agency released a study Friday focused on controlling erosion, flooding and other problems in the creek that have been exacerbated by population growth in the Pikes Peak region. The corps is expected to complete the study next year.
