Gunnison commissioners debate travel plan

Gunnison County commissioners agreed to language earlier this month that would encourage the Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management to “recognize limitations of staffing, time and dollars and limit trail mileage as much as possible within those constraints,” despite concerns that doing so would preclude use of most of the current trail system in the county, the Crested Butte News reported.
