Lawmakers push for bonding
Posted by egable on September 24th, 2007 filed in Energy developmentA bipartisan group of lawmakers is seriously considering the idea of issuing mineral revenue bonds in Colorado as a way to meet the needs of local communities along the Western Slope affected by energy development, the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel reported. Under the bonding proposals discussed at this month’s mineral revenue interim committee meeting, a portion of the money Colorado receives from energy development on federal lands within the state would be used to cover millions of dollars in bonds.
