New members appointed to BLM panel

Interior Secretary Dirk Kempthorne has appointed the head of the Museum of Western Colorado, a Jackson County commissioner and a retired judge to advise the Bureau of Land Management on public lands issues, the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel reports. Mike Perry, the museum’s executive director, and commissioner Landel Weddle will serve on the Northwest Resource Advisory Council, and retired district judge William Ela will serve on the Southwest Resource Advisory Council.
