Shell delays oil shale test

Royal Dutch Shell will wait at least a year before resubmitting its application for an oil shale test site in the Piceance Basin, in the hopes that it will be able to further develop its “freeze wall” technology, the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel reported. Shell withdrew a state permit application in June for its oil shale test site.
