Oil, gas producers face tougher rules

Colorado state officials unveiled a draft proposal yesterday that would tighten regulations governing energy development, the Denver Post reported. The new rules would require energy companies to submit comprehensive development plans, increase bonding requirements and penalties, and allow more input from wildlife and health officials.
