Water secured for Vail

A deal protecting streamflows in the Eagle River Basin will secure water for Vail and other communities in teh basin by ensuring that no more water from the basin will be transferred to the Front Range, the Denver Rocky Mountain News reports. The settlement between Eagle River Water and Sanitation District and Denver Water, the state’s largest water utility, brings to an end a yearlong court battle.
