BLM seeks public comments on wells near DeBeque

The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public comment on a proposal by EnCana Oil and Gas Inc. to drill 95 wells over two to three years on more than 12,000 acres about 2 miles east of DeBeque, Colo. The wells would be drilled from 26 well pads, including one existing one, and would require the improvement or construction of 8.8 miles of roads, as well as the installation of 15.5 miles of buried pipelines. BLM is accepting pubic comments until Jan. 18, 2008.
