Mesa County approves permit for uranium mine

Despite objections from area residents, the Mesa County Commission approved a conditional-use permit to Energy Fuels Resources Corp. to reopen two uranium mines near the Utah border, the Packrat Mine and the Urantah Decline, according to the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel.
