Allard, Salazar fight effort to reduce state’s mineral revenues

Wayne Allard (R) and Ken Salazar (D) plan to fight language in a spending bill passed by the Senate Tuesday night that would reduce states’ shares of revenues from federal onshore mineral leasing, the Glenwood Springs Post Independent reports. The language would change the current 50-50 split between the federal government and states to a 48-52 split in favor of the federal government.
