Aspen targeted by energy group

Responding to criticism by the industry group Americans for American Energy that Aspen’s opposition to drilling on the Roan Plateau is hypocritical given the town’s residents’ lavish lifestyles, Aspen Mayor Mick Ireland dismissed the comments as an effort to detract from the real issue, the Aspen Times reports.
