Rare orchid found near Carbondale

Botanists are rejoicing over the discovery of a rare orchid — the Ute ladies’ tresses — on Colorado’s Western Slope, according to the Aspen Times. The flower has been found in three locations near Carbondale, marking the first time it has been found on the Western Slope.
