Snowmelt occurring earlier

David Clow, a scientist with the U.S. Geological Survey, reports that Colorado’s snowpack melting two weeks earlier than it did in the 1970s, the Durango Herald reports. Clow presented his findings at the 50th annual convention of the Colorado Water Congress.
