Sierra Club takes utility to court over sewage spills

The Sierra Club is seeking fines of up to $32,500 a day for Colorado Springs Utilities leaks dating back to the 1990s that sent sewage into Fountain Creek, the Colorado Springs Gazette reported today. The trial, which is expected to last two weeks, starts today in federal court in Denver.
