FWS to conduct new study on prairie dogs

The Fish and Wildlife Service has signed an out-of-court settlement with environmental groups that requires it to conduct a two-year study of white-tailed prairie dogs to see whether the species requires protection under the Endangered Species Act, the Denver Post reports.
