Nearly three-quarters of respondents to a mail survey conducted by Colorado State University students said they were opposed to the uranium mine proposed in northern Colorado. Eighty-four percent of the 205 survey respondents said they believed the risks of uranium mining outweighed the benefits, and 79 percent indicated the mining issue will play a role in their voting choices.

The margin of error for the study is about 7 percent.
