More than 100 people testified before the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission yesterday on Gov. Bill Ritter’s (D) efforts to overhaul oil and gas drilling rules, the Denver Rocky Mountain News reports. The commission is expected to make a decision on the rules by Aug. 12.

People on both sides of the debate sported dueling stickers — yellow “Don’t Rule Us Out” stickers for opponents and orange “Protect Colorado’s Wildlife” for proponents of tougher rules for industry, according to the Denver Post.
