Energy development at issue in Senate race

During the first public debate in Colorado’s Senate race, Republican candidate Bob Schaffer called his Democratic rival, Rep. Mark Udall, “congressman delay” for his efforts to slow down domestic energy development, the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel reports. Udall, meanwhile, stressed that drilling is only one part of the solution to America’s energy crisis and promised not to let northwestern Colorado become a “national sacrifice zone.”
