Fight over Pinon Canyon heats up

The Senate is set to approve legislation enabling expansion of the Pinon Canyon Maneuver Site in the next few days, when it considers legislation by Sen. Wayne Allard (R-Colo.) that would authorize real estate deals for expansion. Expansion opponents have pinned their hopes on Sen. Ken Salazar (D-Colo.) and are urging him to block Allard’s bill and continue the funding ban on the expansion.
