Ritter launches drive to eliminate energy tax credit
Posted by egable on August 5th, 2008 filed in Energy development, ElectionsGov. Bill Ritter (D) carted boxes of signatures to the secretary of state’s office yesterday to get a proposal on the ballot that would eliminate tax credits for the oil and gas industry, the Denver Post reports.
Ritter also disputed industry claims that eliminating the ad valorem tax credit would lead to higher costs for consumers, telling the Denver Rocky Mountain News that the claims aren’t accurate or fair.
