At least 21 wildfires have been ignited in recent days by lightning strikes in northwestern Colorado, including a 26,000-acre fire near Craig that continues to burn, the Rocky Mountain News reports.

Meanwhile, a drilling rig east of Rulison caught fire yesterday in an explosion at 1:30 a.m. as five Cyclone Drilling employees were working on the rig, the Daily Sentinel reports. No one was injured in the blaze, which was extinguished yesterday as well.
