Avon wants to use wastewater heat to melt snow from streets

Avon officials plan to use heat generated by the wastewater treatment plant operated by the Eagle River Water and Sanitation District to melt snow off the town’s streets and sidewalks, reducing pollution and making the Eagle River more hospitable for fish, the Vail Daily reports.
